Every summer, after the schools closing the Swimming Pool Athinna is organizing at the sea, the summer programs, for children and teenagers from 5-16 years old!

Lifeguard Information

The Athenian Lifeguard Institute is a recognized school by the Ministry of Shipping (no license 2118.6/23/01) and the participants can gain a recognized lifeguard qualification.
  • According to PD 23/2000 lifeguard presence is required in all crowded bathing facilities. (3,500 new jobs at beaches - swimming pools)
  • The educational programs of ATH.IN.NA. for the lifeguard degree  can be joined by people aged over 18 years.
  • Younger people can obtain a diploma as an assistant lifeguard.
  • Ability of participation for novice swimmers.
  • The training is practical and theoretical.
  • Duration of training: there is a possibility of fast courses.

  • Documents of  participation that are  required:
    • a) Μedical and dermatological health certificate.
    b) Photocopy of identity
    c) 3 photos
  • The programs are conducted throughout the year.
